Biographical Information

        Terri Lerman received her bachelor’s degree from Ithaca College in 1987 and her master’s degree in teaching from Simmons College in 1989. She went on to teach English at Old Rochester Regional High School for 17 years and became involved in the Buzzard’s Bay Writing Project. Ms. Lerman then began to freelance write for regional newspapers and magazines and to teach composition and literature courses at Bridgewater State University. She also tutors students and conducts creative writing workshops  across Massachusetts. 

      In 2011, Ms. Lerman enrolled as a student in the C.A.G.S in Reading Program at Bridgewater State University. She will complete the program in the winter of 2012 and embark on a career as a reading specialist and literacy coach. She aspires to support teachers as well as students both in the classroom and with the implementation of professional development opportunities for schools and school districts. 

       Ms. Lerman lives with her husband, 16 year old daughter and 13 year old son, two dogs, one cat, two bunnies, and one leopard gecko in Marion, Massachusetts.
