Analysis of Change in Metacognition: Subject B

Subject B showed no significant change in metacognitive awareness. Although Subject B
showed growth in graphic organizer development in her final drafts after receiving teacher
feedback, she did not easily transfer her understanding of organization and idea
development from one topic to the next. Thus, Knowledge and Regulation of Her Own
Cognition did not expand significantly. Another full semester working with prewriting and
planning strategies would help Subject B habituate and transfer the learned concepts.
